I am often asked:

Illustration
  • Can I get a tattoo before my vacation?

    Yes, you can get a tattoo before your vacation. However, there are a few important things to consider:
    1. Healing time: A tattoo requires healing time, which can take anywhere from a few days to a few weeks, depending on the size and complexity of the tattoo. Make sure you have enough time before your vacation to allow your tattoo to heal properly.
    2. Aftercare: After your tattoo, special skin care is required to avoid inflammation, infection, or fading of your tattoo. Make sure you have time to look after your tattoo and follow the aftercare instructions of your tattoo artist.
    3. Avoiding sun and water: Your new tattoo should be protected from direct sunlight and water exposure for the first few weeks. If your vacation involves the beach or active water sports, it may be best to postpone your tattoo until later. It is important to discuss all aspects of the procedure with your tattoo artist and clarify any aftercare instructions before you get your tattoo.

  • What to do before your session?

    1. Do not take blood thinners (such as aspirin), as this will increase the likelihood of bleeding during application. The tattoo artist will have to frequently wipe away the discharge, which will erase the transfer pattern and irritate the skin.
    2. Do not come to the session hungry! It will be especially useful to eat something sweet, as this will increase the level of sugar in the blood, thereby reducing the likelihood of a painful session.
    3. Do not get tired, you need to get enough sleep. Practice shows that fatigue increases the perception of pain.
    4. The day before the session, do not create physical stress in the area of application. These actions tone not only the muscles but also the skin. It becomes more elastic, which prevents a sufficient amount of pigment from getting into it. At the same time, the skin is injured and swells faster.
    5. Coffee and caffeinated drinks should also be excluded - to a minimum the day before the session. Caffeine excites the nervous system, which can affect your ability to feel pain.
    6. Postpone the session if you are sick. Any discomfort will affect your pain threshold.
    7. Come to the session sober. Drinking alcohol is not recommended due to the risk of increased blood pressure (due to the vasodilatory properties of ethanol). The tattoo will bleed profusely, which will interfere with the work, and the pigment will not stay in the skin properly, therefore, your tattoo will not be as bright as you would like. You should also not drink the day before the session. The pain will be felt much more strongly.

  • Who should not get a tattoo?

    Those with HIV, hepatitis, blood diseases, cancer, diabetes, heart disease, high blood pressure or psychological illnesses - schizophrenia and epilepsy. Also, tattoos are contraindicated during pregnancy or if you have allergic reactions.

  • What to do in case of an allergy to a tattoo?

    If you have an allergic reaction to a tattoo, it is important to take appropriate measures. Here is what you can do:
    Consult a doctor or dermatologist: If you have signs of an allergic reaction (redness, itching, swelling, rash, etc.), it is important to consult a doctor or dermatologist for professional advice and treatment.
    Do not scratch or touch the tattoo area: Avoid itching and irritation, do not scratch or rub the tattoo area. This can worsen symptoms and lead to infection.
    Follow your doctor's instructions: Take medications recommended by your doctor to reduce allergy symptoms. These may include antihistamines or topical itching medications.
    Avoid further allergens: Try to find out which component of the tattoo you are allergic to and avoid contact with that substance in the future.
    Consult a tattoo artist: If you are having problems with your tattoo, consult a professional tattoo artist. They can give aftercare advice or recommend a specialist to evaluate the problem.
    Inform doctors of previous allergies: In case of medical procedures or treatments, always inform doctors of your allergies, including reactions to tattoos.
    Remember, it is important to follow your doctor’s recommendations and never hesitate to seek medical help if you have problems with your tattoo.

  • Can I get a tattoo over a scar?

    The most important thing to understand when making this decision is that you can only get a tattoo that covers a scar when it has completely healed. This will make the tattooing process not only less painful but also safer.
    How long does it take to heal? Much depends on individual characteristics, but in any case it is not less than six months. As a rule, for the final healing and formation of a scar, 6 to 3 years are needed. We categorically do not recommend making a tattoo on scars before this period!

  • Does it hurt to get a tattoo?

    The pain of getting a tattoo depends on a number of factors, including your pain threshold, where on your body you are getting the tattoo, the size and complexity of the design, and the experience of the tattoo artist. Here are some common aspects that can affect the level of pain you experience when getting a tattoo:1. Individual pain tolerance: Each person has a different pain threshold. Some people feel pain more acutely than others. The experience of pain can vary from person to person.2. Tattoo location: Some areas of the body are more sensitive to pain than others. For example, areas with thin skin, close to bones, or less fat may be more painful.3. Design size and complexity: Pain may increase with the size and complexity of the design, especially if it requires a large number of needle passes or uses different colors.4. Tattoo artist technique and experience: Experienced tattoo artists often have a more gentle technique, which can reduce pain levels. They can also offer advice on how to manage pain during the procedure.5. Preparation and aftercare: Proper preparation for the procedure, as well as following the aftercare instructions after tattooing, can significantly affect the level of pain and healing.Usually, pain during tattooing is described as a feeling of unpleasant discomfort, burning or tingling. Many people successfully tolerate this procedure and even find it tolerable.If you are worried about pain, you can always discuss this with the tattoo artist and make a decision based on your feelings and preferences.

  • Is tattooing safe?

    Tattooing is the process of driving pigment into the dermis of the skin. Since tattoo tools come into contact with blood and other body fluids, they must be disposable or sterilized in a medical autoclave. Otherwise, there is a risk of viral or bacterial infection when applying the design.
    To ensure the safety of the tattoo, the artist must have a sanitary and medical book, observe hand hygiene and often wipe the wound with a damp towel. Infection from a tattoo or piercing in clean modern tattoo parlors with disposable tools is almost impossible.

    RISKS OF INFECTION DURING TATTOOING
    Official tattoo parlors completely eliminate the risk of contracting any disease. Unfortunately, this cannot be said about tattoos at home or in illegal establishments with unsanitary conditions.
    Failure to maintain sterility may result in health hazards: bacterial and fungal infections, hepatitis B and C, herpes, HIV, tuberculosis, staphylococcus, tetanus.
    Symptoms of a superficial infection are redness, purulent discharge, swelling or pain, which can spread to other areas of the skin and sometimes cause sepsis. People with heart disease, diabetes, varicose veins and weakened immunity are at greater risk when getting a tattoo.
    Please note: the process of applying the drawing itself is not dangerous. The risk of infection of the tattoo appears only in the case of negligence of the tattoo artist and neglect of basic hygiene rules.

    MODERN TATTOO
    Today, the process of applying a tattoo is carried out by an electric device. The machine injects pigment under the skin using one or more needles. The speed of work is from 80 to 150 skin punctures per second. The needles are personal for each client, unpacked before the procedure and not reused. Disposed of as class B waste.
    All working parts of the machine that come into contact with the client's body must be sterile. During the tattooing process, the instruments are protected by special disposable covers. It is mandatory to wear medical gloves!

    REACTION TO PIGMENT
    High-quality tattoo inks do not contain substances harmful to health, so the human immune system does not reject the pigment from the deep layer of the skin. However, there is still a possibility of developing an allergic reaction or individual intolerance.
    Most often, an allergy occurs to red, yellow and white. The reaction develops or intensifies when exposed to ultraviolet light.
    Main symptoms: redness, swelling, itching, urticaria, lymph discharge.
    Take the time to find out what inks are used in the tattoo studio. Their safety is the key to your health.

    DANGER OUTSIDE THE TATTOO SALON
    Many people consider the very moment of piercing the skin with a needle to be dangerous. However, even after you leave the tattoo artist's office, the risk of infection does not decrease. An open wound remains on the body for another 2-3 days (sometimes longer). If you do not take precautions, you can expose yourself to great danger.

    To reduce the risk of infection from a tattoo, follow safety rules. Your tattoo will please you for many years!

  • Do you sell sketches?

    No. Sketches are made only for the session.
    Tattoo artists do not like to work from sketches of other artists

  • How does the booking process work?

    You can book a session only after an online or offline consultation.
    During the consultation, the size and cost of the tattoo is determined. The cost of each tattoo is individual. The price depends on:
    • the number of hours needed to apply the tattoo;
    • the time needed to complete the project;
    • the number and area of colors used in the tattoo;
    • the complexity of the tattoo;
    • the size of the tattoo;
    • the location on the body.
    The date of the session is indicated during the booking. The duration of the session and the approximate cost are provided during the booking at the request of the client. To book a session, you must make an advance payment in the amount agreed with the studio or artist within 3 calendar days from the date of the appointment. The advance payment is collected by the studio or directly by the artist. After this period (3 calendar days), the booked session date can be cancelled. When booking for multiple dates, an advance payment is required for each meeting.
